I hope I'm not alone in wanting this to happen, but the power of books in the home is too great. We should celebrate! So starting May 1st, 2026...

Photo Challenge - There will be a new challenge each week. Folks will post photos in response to the challenge wherever they want to. The hard part will be the "roundup" aspect of this. Is a hashtag enough? #homelibrarymonth Or do we need something else?

Posting Tour - I like the idea of folks talking about why books in the home are important to them. I've chatted with academics and homebodies and they all have their reasons. We should share and celebrate.

So all that can happen the month of May, but what about the days leading up to it? How do we spread the word? I love the idea of how far this could spread, just due to the fact that a single curated shelf of books can be just as meaningful and impactful as some grand old world library.
